A. No. Please volunteer even if you have never worked at the festival before as we would love to have new people on board. Each year we need more volunteers and so please try it out - it's hard work sometimes, but great fun :-)
A. No. This is an application system only and your chosen shifts and roles cannot be guaranteed. Sometimes, due to unforeseen circumstances, requirements change although we do try to keep alterations to a minimum and accommodate everyone where possible. However, the organisers of the festival reserve the right to alter or cancel your chosen Volunteer role without explanation at any time prior to 25th May 2017, should they deem this to be necessary.
A. Because it is part of our health and safety policy.
A. Yes, things change each year.
A. The dates are listed on this system under Induction Training Dates and you will be asked to select the date of the session you would like to attend when signing up.
A. The sessions should only last about half an hour and you only need to attend one.
A. Please print your volunteering tickets which are attached to the confirmation email sent to you and bring these with you to the Induction session and you can then exchange this for your staff top and wristband.
A. No, unfortunately our staff tops have to be ordered early so if top size is important to you we would advise you to pick the earliest induction session in order to have the widest choice of top size available.
A. Yes, Yes, Yes! Please let your team leader know and we are sure they will be most grateful!
A. Yes please. Most people like to wear their festival top as it makes them feel part of the team and it helps from a public point of view for people to see that you are volunteering at the festival.
A. Yes most definitely. During the registration process you will be asked to choose the club or organisation you would like to represent from a pre-set list. If your particular club is not listed there is an option for you to enter it. Preference is given to funding applications received from organisations and sports clubs that have provided volunteers at the festival.
A. Yes. But, the volunteer application system does not allow us to transfer shifts or change induction training sessions once they have been booked, it only allows us to cancel them. If you need to cancel or make changes to either your chosen shifts or the induction training session you have chosen, please email email@example.com. We will then need to cancel your whole booking and you will need to reapply. We understand diaries and commitments change but if you could try and keep alterations to a minimum we would be very grateful.
A. Please be reassured that your details will be kept on the Oxted Beer & Music Festival database and processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. The information you provide will not be shared with any third party and will only be used for purposes relating to Oxted Beer Festival volunteering.
