Festival Shirts to Africa!

More thanks to the Titsey Rotary Club who every year send their festival polo shirts to projects in Africa.

In 2014 and 2015 over 40 shirts were sent to the Uganda for distribution at the Kampala Red Cross Centre

2016 shirts were sent to Malawi and given to the charity “The Mlambe Project” which uses earthbags to construct school buildings in Malawi.

Photos above shows the team wearing the Oxted Beer Festival shirts as they build teacher’s houses and the toilet block.

A comment from the charity who took them to Uganda: “I carried out the T-shirts with me, and it was agreed the most beneficial place to donate them would be to Uganda Red Cross. Many people arrive for medical assistance with only the clothes on their backs. They were distributed by the staff in Uganda. Thank you again for your donation and I hope the festival goes well this year.”
